Let's Get Started

Massage Therapy is a growing field where more and more potential clients are seeking massage therapy for pain relief, stress reduction, and general health and wellness. How do you get your piece of the pie? How can you fill your schedule with your ideal clients? It is a ton of hard work, trial and error, and commitment, but you don’t have to break the bank marketing. I have lots of suggestions in this course – all of which are at no cost to you, and most of which you can do if you have zero clients to start with. So, whether you are starting from scratch or are simply looking for ways to beef up your numbers, here are some ideas to get those gears turning. I hope these ideas serve as a springboard to launch you into action and get the word out about your business. Included with the marketing ideas are also ideas for personal growth that will assist in your journey to be a strong, savvy entrepreneur.

Before you begin this course, take the time, right now, to reflect upon your own gifts and strengths as an entrepreneur. Along with your gifts and strengths, consider what gets your creative juices flowing. How do you express your personality and creativity? Do you like creating things, cooking, relating to people through deep one-on-one conversations, writing, being in nature? Making these connections are going to come in handy as you progress through this journey. If you intertwine your personality into your practice, not only will it be more enjoyable for you to go to work, but you will resonate with the very clients you were meant to work with. The bulk of this course is about creating and nurturing personal connections. So, without going any further, use this time right now to meditate, journal, take a walk, whatever allows you to clear your head best, so you can truly ponder what motivates you. I will be asking you to share these thoughts with me at the end of this week's section.

Now that you have completed that extremely important work, let's move on.

The course is split up into four different sections that could be addressed as one section per week. It is ok if you take longer or shorter than suggested to complete the course. Do whatever works for you, your learning style, and your schedule. I personally thrive on having due dates for courses like this, so if you are like me, let that be a nudge to do one section per week. It is a nice pace for the course.

  1. The first section addresses the foundation of your practice. These are basic practices you should have in place when running a massage business. If you are already practicing, take the time to review these items and update them. If you are just starting out, this is a great place to start to create a solid base for your business to set you up for success.
  2. The second section is all about the client experience. Clear boundaries and communication are clutch in our field. Set your business up to invite clients to your practice and make them feel welcome, but at the same time keeping a solid client/ therapist relationship so the most effective therapy can take place.
  3. The third section is the meat of the course. It includes multiple free marketing techniques and how to implement them into your practice.
  4. The last section is all about you. You are the face of your business so the choices you make and example you set, reflects directly on your brand. This section is targeted at looking at yourself as an entrepreneur and how that role is played in your life and business.

At the end of each section, there are forms called "Check-Ins". They are opportunities throughout the course for you to reflect upon what you have learned, and to use me as your sounding board for feedback and guidance. After you complete each form, your responses will be visible to me. I will get back to you within a few days with feedback. Typically, there is some back and forth as we work through it together. I recommend waiting to move forward in the course until we have completed the check-in correspondences. Some do like to charge ahead because they are in the groove and excited to get to the next section - that's ok too.

As you move through the course, hit the "complete and continue" button so Teachable saves your space. That way, when you leave the course and come back, you can pick up right where you left off.

If you would like to communicate with me directly, my email is [email protected]. Do not hesitate to reach out. I am here to support you on your journey to building your massage practice.

I can't wait to see the new business owner in you 30 days from now.

All the best,
